It's official…Camp Season 2012 is well underway, in what is shaping up to be one of the biggest years at Camp Reach for the Sky EVER! In case you haven't seen, the brand new CR4TS website is up, fully equipped with pictures, media, and FORMS. Our goal with the site was to make it completely interactive, linking it to this delightful blog, along with the Camp Twitter and Facebook page. We would like to report that the site has been up for less than a week and has already experienced the maximum monthly traffic quota. We have addressed the problem and have increased the allowed traffic so this will not happen again. All in all, it's a nice problem to have, as it shows a significant spike in interest and visits to the site.
We are very pleased with the responses we've received with regards to the new site, but we have a request. To maximize the potential of the site, we encourage all parents, campers, and counselors to send us any pictures you have that fit in the "Camp Pride" or "Camp Life" albums. Also, if you are in possession of an all-camp picture from any of the previous 30 years, please send it in as well. We want to create the most complete representation of camp as we can with the site, and interactivity and a social media presence is what makes that happen.
I have taken over the camp twitter page, and we encourage you to follow that to stay up to date with all things CR4TS! We are also planning on adding pages to the website, including a recommendation section where anyone in the Camp Reach for the Sky community can voice their opinions and suggestions on how to make camp even better. This could be anything from t-shirt design, snack, new game, or song to play at the next dance.
This is a big year for Camp Reach for the Sky that is guaranteed to bring big changes! Stay as connected as you can with our online sites in the coming months to ensure you are as up to date as you can be! Also, space is limited at camp for campers, so be sure to get your COMPLETED 2012 FORMS in as soon as possible. We want everyone who loves camp to be there with us, so don't wait until the last minute. Let's make this year the BEST year yet.
