Relay For Life: CR4TS Special Edition

Some people may say that combing events that are as spectacular as Relay for Life and Camp Reach for the Sky would be TOO epic. Is it possible for a single day to be TOO awesome? On August 13, we will find out.

Next Saturday, on August 13, Relay for Life is taking over National City to raise money and support in the fight against cancer. Now you don't have to be a member of the MENSA society to know that Relay for Life is capable of raising not only significant money for cancer research, but phenomenal support in numbers. But two superpowers are better than one, which is why for this Relay, we have called in support from the Camp Reach for the Sky family. And that is where you come in.

We are making a superteam. An indestructible cancer-fighting support group that combines the passion and dedication of CR4TS with the perseverance and initiative of Relay for Life. We want all counselors, campers, leadership, program staff, and families associated with Camp Reach for the Sky to come out to the Relay, decked out in CR4TS gear. Wear your shirts, embroider custom fanny packs, paint your face...do whatever you can do to show the world that Camp is as big of a deal as we are. Just because Camp season is over, we are as alive and active as ever. Let's get-r-done.

This Relay is also significant because of the Cancer Prevention Study #3 that will take place at the event from 11am to 3pm. For more information on the Study, please visit here. The survivor and caregiver lap begin at 10am to kick off the Relay, which is located at Kimball Park in National City.

Bring your families, bring your camp swag, and bring your spirit. Believe it or not, not EVERYONE knows how amazing Camp Reach for the Sky is. They need to see that we are not just another summer camp that sings silly songs all day. This is our opportunity to show them that we are a significant community that provides families with a chance to do what many said they couldn't (while singing silly camp songs all day). Have you got the spirit? Prove It!
