Happy New Year!  Here is a great opportunity for High School Juniors and Seniors, they can apply now through Jan 29th.  Please let us know if/when you submit so we can notify our Bank of America contacts and assist in the process.

Bank of America is accepting applications for their 2016 Student leader Program until January 29th. This is a great program that recognizes five local Juniors and Seniors who lead and serve here in our San Diego community.  As a Student Leader, students receive an 8 week paid internship, attend a week long summit in Washington D.C., and connect with like-minded students nationwide.  Program details and the link to apply are below.

2016 Student Leader Program:
The Bank of America Charitable Foundation's Student Leaders Program is accepting applications for the 2016 Student Leaders Program.

Since its inception in 2015, the Bank of America Student Leaders Program has recognized has recognized more that 2,200 exemplary high school juniors and seniors who have a passion for improving their communities. The program helps students gain a greater understanding of how nonprofits create impact in the community and helps develop them as the next generation of community leaders through two components:

  • A summer 8 week paid internship with a nonprofit organization selected by the bank.  This internship is designed to provide opportunities for the students to develop and apply leadership skills thorough hands on work experience, while raising their awareness of community issues addressed by their Host Organization.
  • The week long, all expense paid Student Leaders Summit in Washington D.C. from July 10-15, 2016. Conducted in partnership with the Close Up Foundation, the Summit introduced students to aspects of civic, social, and business leadership and provides them with knowledge and skills they will use throughout their life to create positive community change.
Students can apply to the program by going to www.bankofamerica.com/studentleaders. Please note that the application opened on November 2, 2015 with a deadline of January 29, 2016.
